After detox, our first stage home is the initial step in ending the cycle of substance abuse. Our facility is registered under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act for Supportive Recovery. We can accommodate up to 18 women, double occupancy.
First Stage is a 90 day residential recovery program with a variety of programs and services. Please see the Healing Highlights chart below.

Healing Highlights
Weekly 1:1 counselling with an addiction-specialized counsellor
Bi-weekly access to an in-house visiting GP
Art Therapy
Daily devotions, bible studies & Sunday Church service of a variety of Christian denominations
12 Step Program
This is the foundation of recovery work
Volunteerism: all clients are expected to be involved in household chores, cooking, cleaning, yard work & helping in our thrift store, LIFE's Second Chance
Group therapy & LIFE Skills training sessions (Boundaries, Anger Management, etc.)
Advocacy for additional supports
Daily exercise program; on-site fitness room
Community-based recovery-focused program: Alpha-AA/NA Meetings, ARM (Addiction Recovery Ministries)
Medication support and accountability through blister packaging and supervision
