Second Stage Home
The second stage home is one of two longer-term options for women after completing the 12-step program, ideally from our first stage home. However, graduates from other homes will be considered. The second stage is designed to provide low-income, affordable living in a safe, sober environment. Clients are expected to follow a long-term recovery plan, meeting regularly with addiction-specialist counsellor while they work on rebuilding their lives. A live-in house mom serves the role of a “watchful eye”, to help clients stay accountable & sober. It is community living, as some meals & household/property chores are shared. The home's capacity is 5 clients plus the house-mom; each client has their own room.
